Cantemo Portal™ - The Extensible & Customizable Media Asset Management Solution
Cantemo Portal (Portal) is a media asset management (or digital asset management) solution, with the main purpose of managing processes surrounding ingestion, annotation, cataloging, collaboration, storage, retrieval and distribution of digital assets. The main user interface of Portal is purely web-based (HTML5) and the server is Linux-based.
Start Small, Think Big, Scale Fast
Portal comes in two editions; Standard and Enterprise Edition. The Standard Edition is optimised for workgroups up to 60 users, and Enterprise Edition for larger groups usually including more advanced workflows. The upgrade from Standard to Enterprise Edition is native and usually only requires adding more hardware to the solution and changing the license key. This allows our customers to start small, think big, and scale fast!
Cantemo Integration Layer
Portal has been designed to solve fundamental media asset management problems at its core, but also allows the core to be extended, customized, and integrated using its extension layer. The extension layer consists of a well-documented and comprehensive set of REST API's and open source libraries which enables creation of Apps and Themes. The extension layer is available to all partners and customers. We 'eat our own dog food' as the same extension layer is also used by us internally to create Cantemo Apps -- so if we can do it, anyone with sufficient training can!
Case Study: Cantemo Portal Supporting UNICEF's Workflow
Cantemo Portal has been implemented by children's leading humanitarian and development agency, UNICEF, to streamline its video workflow.
Cantemo Portal is a great collaborative tool. With a small staff of editors and producers to support the production demands of country offices across the globe, we can leverage Portal’s integration and distribution features to focus on creating more content with less resources.Eduardo Cure, Video Technology Director, UNICEF
