As we near the end of 2017, it feels great to say Cantemo has yet again been recognised by Deloitte as one of Sweden’s fastest growing technology companies for the second year running!
Although the award of this accolade is mainly dependent on financial growth and sales, we look at growth as something entirely different. To us, it means being able to grow our team, it means growing our footprint in the industry and being recognised as one of the leading providers of media management solutions in the world. We can only do this by investing in our teams and in our Research and Development projects, and this is something we are always looking to do.
Last year we moved to a bigger office to accommodate a growing team, and this year we completed the biggest deployment in our company’s history for ProSieban.Sat1, one of the largest broadcasting brands in the world. To date, our client base features some of the most well-known companies on the globe including the Guardian, ITV, Nike, UNICEF, Orange and Disney. Only last month, Cantemo was nominated a Di Gasell company – an award scheme recognising Swedish companies that have experienced several years of particularly high profitability and growth. In fact, ever since Cantemo was established in 2007, we’ve experienced significant growth year-on-year and in the next few months, we’re expanding our product portfolio for the first time. Cantemo iconik™ is born out of the need to address the growing demand for media management solutions within the wider market, outside of the broadcast industry. I truly believe it will define the future of media management.
Our main goal for iconik is to provide a platform that bridges the gap between creative minds, making it easier for people to share ideas and ultimately create the best content possible. In most industries, video plays a central role in communicating information, ideas and stories. As its production has become democratised, that is to say cheaper to produce and distribute, we’ve noticed most organisations recognising just how effective it can be, and rightly so. But as this happens, more and more organisations and individuals will look for ways to intelligently manage this content. iconik is there to reduce the complexity surrounding media management and provide bespoke solutions to suit every organisation, regardless of the type of content they create.
Along with Cantemo Portal™, we offer only two core solutions, but these modular offerings can be completely adapted with integrations, adds-ons and extensions. Crucially, we are focused on putting the customer at the heart of our solutions and fulfilling their every need. We don’t build one-size-fits-all platforms and we never will, regardless of continued expansion.
In my opinion, one of the biggest reasons for our success is hiring the right people to build the best team possible. We take this process really seriously and for this reason, we’ve been able to put together an excellent team of hard-working, innovative individuals that I’m exceptionally proud of. As we continue to grow, teams will remain one of the central components to Cantemo’s success, so myself and the other founders plan to stay really involved with this process.
In 2014, 15 percent of all foreign capital was invested in the European technology sector in Stockholm-based companies. We can note that technology companies are an important engine in Sweden's economy and we are very pleased to pay attention to them.
As Deloitte partner Erik Olin has pointed out, Stockholm is a hub of technological innovators and being surrounded by such talent drives us to do better. Sweden has long been home to some of the world’s most forward-thinking companies and we’re very proud and will continue to represent the best of Swedish innovation on the world stage.
