Leading software developer for the rich media industry Cantemo has announced a new App integrating the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system with Adobe® Anywhere, the company’s breakthrough collaborative workflow platform.

The integration takes the remote media workflow for editors to the next level. In addition to searching, browsing and proxy editing remotely, the Cantemo Konnekt™ App allows remote craft editing using Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC from any remote location.

“Adobe Anywhere removes the painful need of passing large files between the members in a production. This goes hand-in-hand with our vision of media management, where all media operations in Cantemo Portal™ can be done from any remote location simply by using a web browser,” said Parham Azimi, CEO of Cantemo. “This integration enables our customers to drive their workflows completely remotely, all the way from acquisition to editing, delivering, and archiving.”

With this integration, users can search and add assets to Anywhere productions, and post back the resulting edit from Anywhere to the Portal. These operations can be done both through the Adobe Premiere Pro content panel and through the main Portal web interface. During this process, Portal makes sure to seamlessly copy and move assets to storages accessed by Anywhere when needed.

“The integration with a digital asset management solution complements the Adobe Anywhere workflow,” said Simon Williams, director of strategic relations at Adobe. “The integration between Adobe Anywhere and Cantemo enhances our customers’ experience with Anywhere, helping to make their creative process even easier.”

Cantemo will showcase the complete Cantemo Portal solution including the Cantemo Konnekt App at NAB 2014, booth SL6125.

Leading software developer for the rich media industry Cantemo has announced the release of a Cantemo Portal™ App integrating the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system with Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC software.

The new App follows the same successful approach as the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 software, and is an integrated panel within Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Editors and other creatives are able to take advantage of key features in Cantemo Portal such as search for source material, drag and drop to the timeline, and post back the rendered result with the metadata without having to leave the main application interface.

We have rewritten the panel to fully utilize the new support of HTML5 in the Adobe Premiere Pro CC environment. This not only makes it more efficient with cross-platform capabilities and allows it to be integrated in other Adobe products such as Adobe Anywhere Video. As it becomes effortless to upgrade to the most recent versions of the Adobe software, we believe it is imperative for our customers to be able to leverage using the latest Adobe software with our media asset management products.

Parham Azimi, CEO, Cantemo.

"We know that a digital management solution is extremely important for video editors to include in their workflow” said Simon Williams, director of strategic relations at Adobe. "The integration with Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Cantemo gives our customers a complete and intuitive experience that makes the creative process easier."

With the announcement of Cantemo’s partnership with network RAID specialist GB Labs, a total media platform is created. Now media can be managed seamlessly throughout its lifecycle from ingest to delivery and archive, with content transferred, copied and secured over Ethernet networks with none of the usual data interchange issues. Cantemo Portal will intelligently organize and process almost limitless numbers of files over GB Labs’ Space multi-tier storage systems.

The relationship with GB Labs sees the software optimized and certified to run across Space networks, from super tier 1 (SSD units) to Echo (tier 2) and Space LTO (tape archive).

Cantemo is designed to make life easier for video and TV professionals. However, transferring files to nearline storage or retrieving data from archive offline often requires use of a data transfer application. With GB Labs, the process is far simpler; there’s no need for a client program, it’s just fast and intuitive. This is why their Space technology is such a good fit with Cantemo: it’s all about the speed without any over-complication.

Parham Azimi, CEO, Cantemo.

Cantemo Portal streamlines and manages broadcast and post production file-based workflows, from ingest and edit to playout and archive. Its ingest and transcoding engine, content management system, project and storage administration tools and media distribution technology, in combination with the powerful extension layer which allows the system to be customized by any third-party make it arguably the most complete solution on the market.

Space is all about performance: the best sustained read/write speeds, the fastest workflow and the quickest installation. Cantemo’s Portal takes us to the next level, helping editors, media managers, archivists and programme makers locate, process and deliver content more rapidly than ever. This is a superb match.

Ben Pearce, Sales and Marketing Manager at GB Labs.

The solution can be seen for the first time at IBC 2013 on the 7.J15b stand.
